Emerald Smoothie

Yield: 4 cups                Total Time: 11 minutes    Difficulty: Easy

Ingredients:

4 ounces (113 g) low fat vanilla yogurt or vanilla soy milk

2 cups (310 g) fresh, ripe pineapple, with core (or a 2-inch thick slice)

1 celery stalk (7-inch stalk, 37 g, 1.3 oz), halved or about 1/3 cup chopped

2 cups (60 g) spinach leaves, gently packed

2 cups (480 ml) ice cubes

Sweetener to taste if pineapple is a bit tart

Directions

Combine ingredients and blend until smooth. Pour into a glass and serve immediately.

 

Banana Raspberry Green Smoothie

Ingredients

1 cup (240 ml) almond milk

1 cup (30 g) fresh spinach

½ cup (25 g) chopped romaine

¼ cup (20 g) mint leaves

2 ripe bananas, peeled

1 ½ cups (170 g) frozen raspberries

Directions

Combine ingredients and blend until smooth. Pour into a glass and serve immediately.

 

Antioxidant Rich Smoothie

Ingredients

1 cup (240 ml) pomegranate juice

1/2 ripe avocado, pitted and peeled

4 dates, pitted

2 Tablespoons (13 g) ground flax seeds

4 cups (113 g) baby spinach

4 cups (188 g) romaine lettuce

1 cup (140 g) frozen blueberries

1 cup (140 g) frozen strawberries

Directions

Combine ingredients and blend until smooth. Pour into a glass and serve immediately.

 

Sunshine Smoothie

Ingredients:

2 cups fresh chopped kale

2 kiwis, peeled and sliced

1 ¼ cups orange juice

2 tsp freshly squeezed lemon juice

4-5 ice cubes

Coconut Kale Smoothie

Ingredients:

1 frozen banana

1 cup frozen chopped kale

1 ½ cups coconut milk

1 tsp ground flaxseed meal

1 tsp honey or agave nectar

¼ tbsp coconut extract

1 fresh, young coconut (meat and water

½ cup papaya

1 tsp chia seeds

½ cup parsley

½ frozen banana

3 dates, pitted
