Laurel Taylor, PharmD, Retail Pharmacy Manager
It’s very important to get all the medications prescribed by your doctor, because the doctor is just trying to keep you healthy and keep you out of the hospital. Your pharmacist needs to know all the medications you take because there are many interactions that you don’t know about. If you’re getting something filled at one pharmacy and another medication filled at a different pharmacy, those two could interact, and those pharmacists would never know.
Sometimes it’s very difficult for a community pharmacist to have access to your doctor so they can discuss things that they have seen with your medication regimen. Because we have such easy access, and we have that integrated health record so we can actually see the doctor’s notes, it’s a lot easier for us to make sure that you’re getting the best possible medication for your condition.

We have a special concierge service where we will fill all of your medications before you leave the hospital and actually deliver them up to your bedside before your discharge, because the last thing you want to do when you leave and you’re feeling bad is to stop by the pharmacy and then wait 30 minutes to have those medications filled. So, we can do all of that for you here. We offer all the normal services that you would find at any retail pharmacy. We offer medication therapy management services, so if there’s any confusion over your medications you can just come in and talk to us about those. We also have an immunization service, so you can just stop by and we’ll do screenings for any immunizations that you might need, and we can give those to you that day. This is a very small community, and we really care about everybody here in the community. Feel free to stop by and ask us any questions that you have.
