- [Dr. Micheal] Urgent care is a
convenient method for patients in our

communities that we serve to
access care typically for

mild or moderate injuries or illness.

We can care for people who are sicker than
what the primary care doctors in the

office often see.

We always will have X-ray available,
whereas, in the primary care

doctor's office, that's limited.

The things that we don't want to see are
the folks that are critically ill and

those folks need to be in the emergency
department.

Our urgent cares are very standardized.

We see people 8:00 to 8:00,
Monday through Friday,

9:00 to 5:00 on weekends.

You should expect to see very prompt and
courteous care.

We aim to get people in and out through
the door, 50 minutes is our goal.

We have a Baptist Health online check in,
and if you do that, basically you

wait at home.

So if you check in on our Baptist online
function, you really start your wait

while you're at the site you checked in.

When you come in, you're basically put in
line from the time you registered

versus the time you showed up.

When you come to Baptist Health,
what you're going to get is a very

consistent level of care and manner that
we have refined over 20 years.

We're very excited about Baptist Health
having an urgent care in La Grange,

this gives us a ready access for people
who may or may not have the time

to see a doctor.

So we are very pleased that we are able to
offer this to the community in La Grange.
